LET’S TALK HONESTLY
Let’s be honest, no-one really sets out to work in telesales. I certainly didn’t. In fact, I more or less fell into it.
At 18, unsure of my next step, I took a telesales job just to keep things moving. I had very little confidence on the phone, but by the afternoon of my very first day, something clicked.
I realised I could just do it.
I didn’t need a script.
I didn’t need to pretend.
I could build real relationships, fast.
I instinctively knew how to talk to people.
Since then, I’ve successfully sold everything from mobile phones and maintenance products to swim lessons, children’s clothing, photoshoots, and healthcare packages in both B2B and B2C settings. The product has changed, but the principle hasn’t: successful sales starts with understanding who you are and who you’re selling to. You build the sales framework around that.
I called this guide The Person at the End of the Phone, because we focus on the people at both ends of the line: the telesales department (from head to toe) and the client.
Through my coaching, we dig deep into understanding your Ideal Client Profile (ICP) and how to connect with them. But just as importantly, we explore who your team members are as salespeople, and as leaders if needs be, what motivates them, what blocks them, and how they can become more confident, capable and connected.
